Training

Do you want to learn more about Healthy Kids or attend a training?

Members of the community and partners are welcome to attend informational sessions and application assistance trainings.

Note: In order to assist families with the Healthy Kids/OHP application (7210), you must be fully trained and certified.

Information session

This session is open to members of the community interested in learning more about the Healthy Kids program. This session is approximately 1 hour and includes basic information about the Healthy Kids program. (Note: This is the approximate-first hour of the sessions listed on the schedule.)

Application assistance training

This training is open to organizations who want to help families apply for Healthy Kids and assist with completing the Health Kids/OHP Application (7210). This training is approximately 3.5 hours and includes information about the Healthy Kids program and comprehensive instructions for helping families complete the application process.

Trainings are ongoing and held throughout the state. Sessions are limited to 20 participants and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Note to Partners: Waivers are available for those who are not in the application process but want to learn more.

Advanced Training 1 & 2

Advanced sessions are targeted for contracted assisters who have taken the full application assistance training.

In about 1.5 hours, the Advanced Training 1 covers more detail on: Healthy KidsConnect, Self-Employment, What happens after the Application, and How to Find a Provider.

In about 1.5 hours, the Advanced Training 2 covers more detail on: Renewals, Outreach Strategies, Unaccompanied Youth, and CAWEM.

Coordinated Care Presentation

Please join staff from the Oregon Health Authority to discuss Oregon's new Health Systems Transformation model, Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs). We'll review the basics of CCOs including which organizations have become or are becoming CCOs, what to expect during the transition for OHP members; and, what providers, partners and advocates need to know to support them.
